Currently Coveting: Cooking Time Savers
There are days when you want to simmer a homemade sauce for hours or take extra time to chop fresh herbs, and then there are days when you need quick substitutes that are ready to use at a moments notice. That’s where these come in! The items here are some of my favorite time savers and are all delicious. Raos Marinara is without a doubt the best jarred sauce, period. It’s so versatile and can be used on its own or with other add ins. Think quick Bolognese or Pasta alla Norma. The chicken stock minis are great for recipes that call for only a cup or two of stock. No wasted stock and you’ll always have some ready to go in your pantry. The freeze dried chives are genius and come in handy when you want fresh herb taste, but don’t have them on hand. Janes Crazy Garlic Salt is truly one of the most useful seasoning blends. It makes awesome roasted potatoes and seasoned vegetables. Polenta tubes are perfect when you want polenta rounds. Simply open, slice and cook any way you prefer. When you want fajitas in a snap, the fajita marinade here is super easy. No mixing or measuring, just marinate your meat and cook when ready. While I love making my own pesto, some days I just want something fresh and fast. Gotham Greens pesto is my favorite and is refrigerated so it retains that beautiful bright green color. Next up, Stonewall Kitchen garlic aioli. Making aioli isn’t always feasible and this one is incredible. Serve it on burgers, Dip veggies or fries. Last, but certainly not least, Dorot frozen minced garlic. All the flavor of fresh garlic without the work of peeling, chopping etc. I hope you find these as helpful as I do during your next meal prep. Many of the items can be found right on Amazon, via the links below.
